Who we are
SLD Property is a trading name of SLD Property Investment & Management Ltd (company number 17160226), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in it at info@sldproperty.com or on 0333 016 4201.
What information we collect
- Your name and contact details (phone number, email address, postal address) when you contact us.
- Details about a property you own or are selling, and what you tell us about your plans for it.
- Records of our calls, messages and emails with you.
- Where we write to property owners, the owner's name and the property address, taken from public sources such as HM Land Registry and local council HMO licence registers.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss buying your property.
- To assess a property, arrange viewings and make an offer.
- To progress a purchase with solicitors, surveyors and lenders if you accept an offer.
- To write to property owners who may be interested in selling.
Our legal basis
We use your information because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in buying property and responding to people who contact us, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract to buy your property. Where the law requires us to keep records (for example anti-money laundering checks on a purchase), we do so to meet that legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share it where needed with our solicitors, surveyors, lenders and finance brokers, accountants, and the service providers that run our email, phone and IT systems. These parties must keep it secure.
How long we keep it
If we do not go on to buy your property, we keep your details for up to 24 months after our last contact and then delete them. If we do buy your property, we keep transaction records for as long as the law requires, normally six years.
Stopping our letters
If you received a letter from us and do not want to hear from us again, contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp and we will remove your details from our mailing list.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to ask us to restrict its use. To make a request, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
